How to get around the South Bay and Los Angeles

Plane

For those of you outside of Southern California, we highly recommend flying directly into LAX, Los Angeles Airport. The South Bay is adjacent to the LAX area, so it's at least a short taxi or uber from the airport to the hotel.

Renting a car is highly recommended since LA is a large city, and if it's your first visit you will likely want to visit other areas of the city while you're here. Rideshares are an option but can be expensive depending on the time and distance.

Car

To our Los Angeles natives, you know how bad summer-beach traffic can get. For those of you from out of town, please prepare by checking travel times at least 24 hours in advance. A rule of thumb is to leave earlier from your residence by at least 30 minutes and up to an hour ahead of time.

There is limited parking at La Venta Inn, so please try to carpool.
